Tuesday the 25th cont’d:

I took Mallory to eat at Applebee’s because it’s close to Best Buy and she (and I) wanted to play the Wii again.  We did.  Afterwords I picked up the boys from my dad and we hung out for a while.  We decided to all go to the office to get three of the old computers from the law office for them to use in the playroom.  Then we went to Office Depot to get wireless adaptors, and I spent most of the night getting everything installed and in place.  Finally went to bed at 1:00 a.m. then woke up at 4:00 a.m. (for no particular reason at all!).

Wednesday the 26th:

Went to the jail first thing this morning for magistrate duties.  It took a little longer than usual because the interpreter didn’t show up for the one spanish speaking inmate.  I went by the Captain’s office for a cup of coffee (tar) and while I was there Det. Tarrant was looking for me because the courthouse was a “ghost town” (his words).  He needed a search warrant to search the CBI victim’s home for any evidence … that was a real tragedy.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the victim’s family, especially her child.

I had to get home in time for Melanie to get to work because I had no babysitter, so it was me and three kids.  I tried to do some work on the computer, but Griff doesn’t understand the need for peace and quiet - so I gave in to some quality wrestling time.  Returned a few phone calls and emails to the office, then went in to the office to sign some paperwork for the Sheriff’s office.  Attended a retirement reception for Bill Potts with the SO, then went back to the office after learning we had no inmates to warn … WooHoo!  “Worked” with three kids acting silly until about 6:00, then met Mel (and Fab and Dom) at JC’s for some good Italian cuisine.

Afterwords, me and Coleman and Mal (and Dom and Fab) went to Toys R Us to look at possible Christmas presents.  Now I am beat and it is time to go to BED!  I must be fully rested for TURKEY!!!  Happy Thanksgiving…
